Oscars Worst Dressed

Oh Jessica. Is that a napkin?? Seriously, who let you leave the house in this?

Oh B, wearing your bedspread is never a good idea.

What in God's name is Miley wearing. Almost as delusional as her red carpet interviewing in which she actually said "I hope the Hannah Montana is honored with an Oscar next year!". Keep dreaming, kid.

Glinda the Good Witch? Is that you? SJP: FAIL.

Oscars Best Dressed

Angie brings it in a gorgeous black sweetheart neckline and a perfect fit. My absolutle favorite look is black with the focus on the jewels, and she hit it out of the park with those emerald stunners. Well done.

Taraji has been so effortlessly chic this awards season, and Oscars was no exception. Her hair is lovely and the dress is gorgeous.

I had to give a nod to Mickey, if only for his Loki necklace. RIP Loki.

Natalie looks BEAUTIFUL in pink, I love the makeup as well, so pretty.

Found! New black flats!

So, I have been on the hunt for the past few months to replace my most worn shoes, my black flats. They were a necessity purchase while on vacation because my feet were aching and I didnt have any flat shoes with me, so... long story short, I popped into a Bakers (first and only time I've bought shoes there) and I found my shoe staple. Fast forward 2 years, and theyre about ready to retire to say the least.

Ive been on the hunt for replacements for a while now.. do I go patent? Do I want a design? A logo a la Tory Burch?

Alas, the hunt is over. DSW.com has come to my rescue -- Blowfish Spritz Knot Flat

Under $50 AND free shipping! :)

I promise to post a picture when they arrive! I'm also going to post my other recent purchases too... Im just lazy, apologies ;)

Cauliflower Mac 'n Cheese!

And here is another obsession of mine -- Cooking!

The boy is currently in the midst of a low-carb kick, and carbs are pretty much my chocolate so we found an awesome recipe online that made the lack of carbs obsolete. Enter, Cauliflower Mac N Cheese with Bacon! The process below --

First, chop and boil 2 heads of cauliflower until crisp and tender, about 5 minutes.

Grate 2-3 cups of cheese. We chose cheddar and gruyere, with a dash of parmesan.

In a sauce pan, bring 1 c of heavy cream to a simmer then add 2 ounces of cream cheese. Once melted, add 1 tbsp of dijon mustard, and salt, pepper, and garlic powder (amount as you prefer). Once combined and smooth, add cheese (remember to leave about 1/2 c or so for the top!) Melt.

Put the cauliflower in a casserole dish, and pour the melted cheese all over, shake to cover. Next, sprinkle the solid cheese on top, along with bacon (we fried up about 5 pieces) Bake at 375 for about 30 minutes or until golden brown on the edges.

Check out that gorgeous cheesy goodness!

And you wouldnt even know it was missing the "Mac"!

Mmmmmmm.....

Coach Mike Tomlin greeting the crowd during the ce;ebration parade in downtown 'Sixburgh' on 2/3/09

Sixburgh baby!! :)

We drove the 8 hours back to Pittsburgh to experience the greatest event in all of sports: Super Bowl Weekend! The city was literally and figuratively ON FIRE the entire time. The feeling was electric, and I am so thankful I was able to experience it with my favorite people. There are no better fans than in the city of Pittsburgh, or as it was renamed today: SIXBURGH!
