Holiday Gift Guide: Brother
Every year I say I'm going to have my Christmas shopping finished early, but lo and behold I'm stuck at the mall on Christmas eve scrambling for a thoughtful gift. Well, not this year! I'm actually checking things off my list with a vengeance.
Additional gift ideas for Brother(s):First up, my brother. Not only do we share a birthday, (he's 3 years younger) but it's two days after Christmas! So I always try to do well by him, and get a great gift. This year, he really wanted a camera. And lucky me, Slickdeals posted a helluva deal today: Fujifilm 10 mp Camera, 2GB memory card, and camera case for $80!
- A good bottle of Whiskey
- Hoodie, jersey, or hat of their favorite sports team: GO STEELERS!
- Nose and ear hair trimmer (seriously, what guy doesn't need this!)

Enjoy The Verve! Youtube disabled embedding of the actual video, but you can watch it here.
P.S. This song always makes me want to watch Cruel Intentions!

Despite my hesitation about buying tickets for anything online, this seller had 100% feedback on over 2,000 transactions. They have already emailed me to let me know when they'll be shipped. AHHHH!!!! I am so excited!!!! :)
Friday Funday: FLASHBACK! Right Kind of Love
Who remembers Jeremy Jordan!? I will always love this song, I remember dancing around my room trying to dress like Brenda Walsh and pretend I lived in Beverly Hills. Oh memories...

The Gossip Girl Threesome
Lizzie McGuire has grown up, no?
Acoustic "Whatever you like" is pure amazingness. Love.
This was a letdown for me, as I was hoping it involved Chuck Bass. Everything is better with Chuck Bass. Fact.

New coat and fuchsia shoes!
I stopped by Old Navy over the weekend, and picked up the Belted Wool-blend coat. It is a little big, (I got a large) but it will do well with layers. I had an additional 15% off, so I managed to snag it for $29! Can't beat that.
While at the mall, I stopped in Aldo, and picked up these fuchsia mary janes, on sale for $35. They're really comfortable, I wore them to work today and no complaints! I can't find them online anymore, but they're on the sale rack in store.

Calling all New Yorkers! Gucci Watch & Jewelry Family and Friends Sale
Extra 20% Off JCrew Sale
Of course the EXTRA20 code would appear when I'm trying realllyy hard (okay, maybe not that hard) to resist the urge to shop. Here are my wants:
Jackie Cardi in Golden Cypress $32 -- I am always drawn to chartreuse, but never actually wear it. Considering Jackie's are normally $62, I think this is a must.
Silk tiered Cami in Aubergine $54 -- Gorgeous color, and I love how these cami's look belted.
Solid Three-Quarter length stretch shirt in Warm Riviera $38 -- Another color I can't get enough of! And you can never have too many button down's.
Classic Leather Belt in Brown $12 -- A MUST at this price! No question.
Friday Funday: Party in the USA
Yes, I admit defeat, I love it. I am hardly a fan of Miley Cyrus, but I CANNOT get enough of this song!
Here's to a great weekend!
All Old Navy outerwear 50% off this weekend!
Wool-blend Swing Coat, $35 -- The color is gorgeous, and such a fun little coat. I have nothing like this in my closet.
Double-breasted wool-blend coat $50 -- Another classic coat, in a flattering shape.
Wool-blend bell-sleeve coat $50 -- Such a gorgeous color for winter, and the bell sleeves give it something extra.

Band Aid Friction Block will change your life
This item has literally changed my life. A million thank you's to GiGi for recommending it!
Band Aid Friction Block is a miracle worker, ladies. As we all know, the first day of wearing a fab new pair of shoes is quite literally, torture. Blisters, aches, pains, you know the drill. Well, our savior is here! I put this on to break in new heels and not ONE blister after a whole day! Sure, I wasnt walking miles in them, but this is momentous considering the usual state of my feet after Day One.
AND! You can use it to prevent any other instances of chafing or skin rubbing. This would have come in handy when I was walking around Las Vegas in 108 degree heat in a skirt. Needless to say, anything to prevent hot skin rubbing on hit skin would have been GREAT.

Blair-esque
In a lunchtime jaunt to Tarjay yesterday, not only did I buy a 12 inch X-mas tree for the cats (yes, I admit Cat Lady status, but it was only $2.50!), but I picked up this adorable Blair Waldorf-esque headband. How great would this be for Christmas or New Years? I also found these cute blue tights with silver designs I may pair it with.
