Review: Ann Taylor's Bow Peeptoe Pump

I first discovered these little ladies via The Chloe Conspiracy, and thanks to a 40% off coupon, I had to make them mine!

I am usually a size 7.5, but there was too much of a gap in that size, so I had to go down to a 7. They are actually quite comfortable, and will go with literally everything. (This is my first ever shoe review, so I took way too many pictures!) They make me feel so tall and chic! :) Special thanks to GiGi for the linking!

*UPDATE* First day of wearing report: I wore them from 830am until 7pm, and my feet are definitely sore. I used a gel foot petal the entire day, which helped a lot. I sit at a desk most of the day, and my feet did pretty well until about 3:30, there was some rubbing on the toes, but the heel was amazingly fine. I had errands to run after work, and that's when the pain set it. These are not walking around shoes, but they're not unbearable. I plan to wear them out to dinner, to weddings/holiday parties etc. But of course I will bring flats with me. They're your typical high heel, they're going to need broken in, but definitely worth it. I received countless compliments!

Here they are, the Bow Peeptoe Pump:

Gorgeous! Tempted, but I have a black patent peep toe pair from JCrew from 3 years ago. In place of a bow they have a brass chain. Hmm, can I justify getting these since I love the bow? Hee! Hee! Seriously, I do like the porcini color on the website and since I don't have a nude color shoe (supposedly elongates the legs), I'm curious. Have you worn these for a day at least? I would love to learn whether the cushioned insole actually makes these wearable for the day or do they start hurting after an hour or two? Has anyone else worn these shoes?

Hi Anonymous!

I am planning to wear them tomorrow, and I will report back. The heel is about 3 1/3", and I always wear a gelled insole with heels.

I will report back with my findings! :)

First day of wear report: My feet are hurting and there is a little blistering but I also walked a lot more today than I normally do. They definitely need broken in, and are not a shoe you would walk miles in, but definitely good for dates/weddings/etc.

Just get some gel insoles and moleskin for under the bow!

Luci, thanks for the update! You totally have to try that Band Aid stuff. You will not want to pay $5-$6 for it, but it's worth it.

Thanks GiGi! Which Band Aid stuff are you referring to? Anything to help my feet in heels would be GREAT! :)
